The Wind Mountain Mine site is east of the San Emidio Desert.
Exploration started in 1989, mining and processing occurred in 1992 and ore leaching occurred until 1994.[1]
Between 1989 and 1997, 300,000 ounces of gold and more than 1,700,000 ounces of silver were recovered.[2]
