Pinto Hot Springs is located north of Pinto Mountain in the North Arm of the Black Rock Desert.
Pinto Hot Springs is where Ronald Bristlewolf murdered three people in 1978.
In 2025, the BLM confirmed the Pinto Geothermal Resource Confirmation project, which permits Ormat to conduct exploratory drilling at Pinto.[1]
