Oneida, California was at one time the end point of the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway.
Services started in 1882.[1]
Oneida Station, located on the Evans Ranch, was 30 miles north of Reno, two miles from Purdy.[2]
- "The Evans Ranch became the northern terminus of the railroad, and was known over the years as Oneida, Antelope, Evans, and possibly Purdy. The ranch has been recorded as an archaeological site."[3]
