Clyde Fisk
Clyde W. Fisk was born in 1908 and died in 1990.[1] [2]
The 1910 Census indicates that Clyde had been born in Utah, was 2 years old and lived in the Rosebud Census district. The occupation of his father Charles W. Fisk was listed as "Saloon and Restaurant."
Effie Mae Fisk, Clyde's mother,[3] ran a boarding house in Sulphur, where she met Fisk's father. In 1911,[4] Mrs. Fisk homesteaded a ranch in then-named Squaw Valley, present-day Granite Mountain Reservoir.
Clyde Fisk was a youngster around the time of the 1915 Shootout at Hualipi Flats.
In 1917, Charles W. Fisk received a land patent for land in 034N - 022E.
The 1920 Census indicates that Clyde was 11, his father's occupation was listed as "Farmer."
The 1930 Census lists just Clyde and his mother living together. Clyde's occupation was listed as "Laborer."
The 1925 Washoe County Directory shows a Fisk, C. W., who is presumably Charles W. Fisk. Fisk also paid 1936 taxes at Deep Hole.
The 1940 Census lists Clyde's occupation as "Rancher."
Squaw Reservoir was possibly known as Fisk Reservoir.[5]
Fisk married Jeanne Catherine Mudgette in 1947. Jeanne died in 1957 at the age of 39.[6]
Fisk died on December 7, 1990 at the age of 82.[7]
