Blue Wing Flat is a playa located south of Trego. Blue Wing Flat is also known as Adobe Flat.[1]

Carlson states that Adobe Flat is west of the Trinity Range. Adobe Flat is at the north end of Granite Springs Valley.

Dry Lake

There is some confusion about the name as there is also a small playa named Dry Lake[2] to the west of the Blue Wing Mountains. Dry Lake is not Blue Wing Flat.

Jackalope Bay is a proposed name of the northeast arm of the dry lake.

The Town of Adobe

Bancroft (1890) lists Adobe as one of the towns and settlements in Humboldt County (Humboldt County was later divided in to two portions, with the southern portion becoming Pershing County.)[3] However, Basso states that Adobe was near the Humboldt River at the Thackers Ranch.[4]
