The Kamma Mountains are south of Sulphur.

Lander Spring is located in the Kamma Mountains.

Carlson states that the name "Kamma" derives from the Northern Paiute word "ka-mu," which means jackrabbit. Carlson states that the name was placed by the Fortieth Parallel Survey[1].
