Raven populations were controlled during the 2000-2004 sage grouse breeding and nesting seasons. The project treatment was conducted in the Grassy/Hart Camp area of Washoe County with control areas on the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge and the Lone Willow area of Humboldt County. Total size of the project area is approximately 250 square miles. During the first year of the study, the size of the study area was at least a third larger.
