The Coyote Spring Mounds restoration project will take place during this year's Burning Man Festival. Led by the Earth Guardians, Friends, volunteers and Burning Man attendees are invited to assist in this project.
The goal is to arrest damage to sensitive dunes and begin a native seed germination program to restore areas affected by irresponsible vehicle use. We also plan to remove invasive tamarisk plants from springs near Cassidy Mine and Mormon Dan Peak.
Support for this project will come from an anticipated grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, with support from BLM NCA staff.
