Mormon Dan Canyon runs between Mormon Dan Spring and Mormon Dan Peak near the road to Soldier Meadows.
The term "Mormon Dan Canyon" first appears in the Mormon Dan Peak 1:24,000 Map from 1980.
Mormon Dan Canyon appears on the 1981 Gerlach 1:100,000 map.[1]
