The Nobles Trail was pioneered in 1851 by William Nobles.  The trail leads from Lassen's Meadow, known today as Rye Patch Reservoir, through [[Gerlach "Great Boiling" Springs]], the [[Smoke Creek Desert]] and then on to Honey Lake.
