In 1948, an add appeared in the Portola Reporter stating that a Gerlach bar was for sale and to inquire at the Longhorn Bar.[1]
Bruno Selmi bought the Longhorn Bar for $6500, remodeled it and named it Bruno's Country Club.[2]
