One source has "Soldier's Meadows" Station was 10 miles north of Flowing Springs Station and `12 miles south of Summit Lake. [1] These distances suggest that "Soldier's Meadows" Station was likely at present day Mud Lake.

Another source has "Soldiers' Meadows" being 15 miles from Summit Lake with a stone hotel being built by a Mr. Harrington.[2] This description suggests that "Soldiers' Meadows" station was at the site of the present-day Soldier's Meadows Ranch.
