Dodge Flat is located between Wadsworth and Nixon.

The movie "The Iron Horse" (1924) was filmed at Dodge Flat.[1]

Carlson states that nearby Dodge was probably named for Major Frederick Dodge, an Indian agent in the 1860's.[2]
